What we do
AlgolaneBots runs five rule-based trading strategies. Customers test them on a paper account with pretend money first, and can then let a strategy place orders in their own Alpaca, Interactive Brokers, Tradier, tastytrade, TradeStation or MetaTrader 5 account. We never hold customer money and cannot withdraw funds. AlgolaneBots is software: it is not a broker or an investment adviser, and every customer gets the same strategies.
How we write our guides
Every guide names its author and their role at the top of the page. The named author wrote or reviewed the guide, and the AlgolaneBots team checks it against our own backtest data. The aim is to explain trading bots, backtests and investing in plain English, including the risks we would want to know ourselves.
Every figure about our strategies comes from our own historical backtests, run on past prices with the method published on our how-we-test page. We always label them as simulations, show them next to simply holding the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 or gold over the same dates, and state each strategy's known weakness. Nobody earned these numbers, and future results will differ.
General facts, such as rules from regulators or features of brokers, are checked against the regulator's or company's own pages before publishing. When a fact cannot be confirmed from an official source, we describe it in general terms instead of guessing.
We never promise profits, never name stocks or coins to buy, and never give personal advice. Pages show the date they were first published and the date of their last real update.
